Help me understand why you're not here
Leaving all of us in great fear
You left a lifetime behind
Then left half of us blind
Now life for you is dead
And mine is ahead

How do I know if you're in heaven or hell?
Now at nighttime I start to yell
Just knowing that you're not here
To hold me near
Just doesn't feel right
Now no one's here to hold me tight

Help me understand why you took your last breath
And what it was that lead you to death
The minute you closed your eyes
We all said our goodbyes
With our eyes full of tears and hurt
Now without you my life is real dirt.
